So does anyone have any special items for their fall style?

re: stef42678
I just bought a new pair of shoes(I also just posted this on another thread, too) that I think are super cute for fall: grey patent peep-toes with lace-up details. I guess a sort of modified oxford. I'm envisioning them replacing my usual black pumps...same sort of neutrality, much more interesting.

Fall is when I go from my sandles to my black boots.

I totally agree that I know when it is fall when I can't wear my sandals anymore.

alyabonfiglio your shoes sound SO cute. There are some fantastic styles out for Fall. I have a slight shoe fetish and could drop a fortune on shoes if not more self controlled :) What I'm looking for, and maybe someone has ideas for me....I work retail and am on my feet ALL day...I need a comfortable yet super stylish pair of shoes to wear with my trouser style pants that won't kill my feet but have a little height so my pants don't drag on the floor. Any ideas? I keep looking and haven't been successful.

I like shoes with a wider heel to make standing in them all day a little more comfortable. I love my steve madden shoes, so you might give them a try. They have some great styles that look great with pants for work and don't hurt your feet if you are standing all day.

re: stef42678
I have had bad luck with Steve Maddens. I feel that they don't have much support and are pretty uncomfortable. I pretty much avoid them like the plague haha. Have you thought of doing flats and hemming your pants so they don't drag?
Aside from that, I like the versatility of a tall boot. You can wear them with trousers for work, tuck some skinny jeans in them for play, or dress 'em up with a cute dress for partay! I have a great pair of Dr. Scholl's tan boots which are (surprisingly-as in, not what you would expect from the Dr.) super cute AND of course REALLY comfy!

Boots are definitely comfy. Sorry you had bad luck with Steve Maddens, I love mine because they have a comfortable heel so they are great with pants or a skirt.

I agree that I love Uggs!

re: stef42678
Uggs are right up there with crocs for me. Yes, they are comfortable, and I admit to "borrowing" my mom's pair every once in awhile, buuut I would much prefer a more stylish and flattering boot. I'm not much the "rugged" type anyway.

re: stef42678
Uggs are great if you have to work or be outside in bad winter weather, so for this gal who has to be outside in 20 below weather they work!

re: mamacita
You gotta get those Hunters mom! NO MORE UGGS! The Hunter brand even makes super warm socks to wear with their boots!

re: Bimbi284
You are correct I like the Hunters but don't own. I hate snow boots but living in the mid west they are a must.
