I have a habit of wearing my favorite jeans into the ground. My current pair has almost bit the dust. But I am attempting to make them last longer. Sooo, I was wondering if anyone else does this with their jeans and if so... What do you do when the hem at the bottom gets all worn away and raggedy in the back? How do you fix it? Thank you!

re: Ruthem
Hmmm...there's really no good way of fixing that. However, the simple fact that they are all worn in the back tells me they may have been too long in the first place. Depending on how badly worn they are, you could try to have them hemmed. If not, if they are slim enough, they could simply become your "tuck into boots" jeans, and only wear them tucked into a cute pair of boots.

Thank you Bimbi! Yeah, I definitly got their worth... it is just so hard to find jeans that fit me awesomely. Maybe they could still be tailored, I think they were too long. I don't really think I can do the tuck into style, they are bootcut jeans.
You are always so helpful and have such great advice!! ;-)

re: Ruthem
No prob!! You should give the "boot tucking" a try. I have bootcuts that I wear tucked in some times. The boots just need to be roomy enough in the calf...I actually will tuck them into my socks first and then put my boots over them so they don't ride up and get bunchy and weird. I look silly as heck until I get my boots on! Haha.

re: Ruthem
the first thing i thought when i read your question was- are your jeans too long on you? i wear my jeans to the ground too- no joke, i wear them until they start ripping in unsightly places that make it indecent to wear them anymore, but they never fray from the bottom hem because i always get them hemmed the second i get them- i'm a flats girl so i get them hemmed short without accounting for heels. but if you love em and want to keep wearing em- bimbis tucked into boots idea is great!

I've had a few pairs of jeans that just...disintegrated. No lie...the back just.....shredded to holes.

LOL, brittylew, that reminds me of a pair of mine that ripped right across one half of my bottom!! Luckily I was only with my sister at the time.

re: Ruthem
I am totally here with you on jeans wearing. I have a favorite pair that I love, so I have learned to buy two pairs when I find a style I like. This way I can switch which ones I wear and still get the great style.
