Hey guys, I need to post up some pictures of these items so you can see what I am talking about... Anyways, I have a trench that is a mid-calf length, not the most flattering spot to hit. I am considering hemming it up to about knee length or just under the knee. Next is a dress that I got when I was pregnant. It is an a line shape, and I just cannot seem to figure out how to wear it. So I am thinking of sewing in pleats on the bodice, then just letting the skirt fall from the waist.

re: Ruthem
I just posted up 2 pics of the dress. At the very top there are 4 pleats on each side, and I was thinking of extending them down. So the dress would be a better shape on me.

It is amazing that you can sew so well. I think added pleats are a great idea to make these clothes look different with a new style.

re: Ruthem
Also a jacket would do the trick for the dress if you want to update the look
