I know navy is a neutral and technically can be paired with anything, but I really struggle with it. I found this really nice side draped pencil skirt that comes in either grey or navy; I already own like three pencil skirts in grey so I'm thinking navy would be the way to go. Yet I cannot picture what should go with it, other than the obvious white.

Any advice? What do you put with navy?

I like yellow with navy. Or red, but that could get a little "nautical."

I thought about yellow, too. More of a gold for me 'cause I'm really pale. Only problem is I don't own anything that color already. You know what they say, don't buy anything if it doesn't go with what you already have...should've just got the grey skirt!!!

Did you already buy the navy skirt? You could just go with a cheap tank top to see how you like the combination!

Yeah, it was on clearance and they only had one in my size so I bought in. I'm sure I can work it in.

Sounds like a great skirt. I would pair it with a light grey or white top.

I like tan/camel with navy a lot, especially when you consider shoes. I think a nice camel colored sweater/top would work.
Other options: Orange, light blue/turqoise, light purple (and pretty much any other pastels), bright greens, reds, yellows, cream/ivory, pinks, light gray, etc etc etc...

There's a lot of options! I did think of the camel and light grey, which wouldn't be very interesting, but I think if I threw into something smaller, like a scarf or bag in one of the other colors you mentioned I could work it. How about like a mint green? I think that might look really cool...

Ok, so they sent the wrong skirt and I wound up with the grey anyway. You know, even though it SAYS on the shipping package that the ordered color was "classic navy!" GRRRRR. I'm sending it back, I have my heart set on the navy/mint green pairing now!!

red, yellow, and white always looks nice to me

I just found an awesome MK navy pin stripe pencil skirt on clearance at a Nordstrom Rack! I was soooo excited. So far I've worn it with a really light weight deep blue/green shell tucked in and and belted. I felt bold wearing it because it didn't "go" in my mind but I got so many compliments on it!

I wear khaki, purple, white, cream in the winter (hehe no white after labor day !!)
