I was in the store today browsing all the perfumes and there were so many to choose from. The salesperson was so not helpful, so I was wondering which perfume to choose. How do you decide on what to buy? Is it a special scent, are free gift or helpful salespeople? There are so many brands out there and so many scents!

re: stef42678
I've bought lots of different perfumes over the years, but the one I keep going back to is Victoria's Secret PINK, it's also the one that people(both men + women) comment on the most about smelling so good.
I suggest trying on couple you like, then waiting a little while for it to mesh with your natural skin scent to see how it will ultimately smell.
good luck stef!

I usually go with what I like and if I am not sure I ask for samples so that I can wear it and see how I like it. I usually shop at Sephora for perfume they are usually helpful.

I love the samples too because it gives you a great chance to try out the scent.

I usually try it first too, sometimes it smells good but not good on you. My current Fav is Victoria Secret supermodel but I also love all the DK scents and of course the free gifts they offer are a very good temptation to buy them :)

I love Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue, seriously awesome! And I have not been able to buy it yet but I really want to try Giorgio Armani Code for women. I forget if it is just Code or Black Code.

I'm in love with the DKNY Be Delicious ( green little bottle, smells like fresh apples) scent and Dior's Pure Poison scent ( really exotic and hypnotizing ) .

D&G Light Blue IS awesome... so fresh and clean. I like really light fragrances, but scent is so personal that you really have to test them out for a day or two.
Whenever I go to the mall, I try to go scent-free and test something new at Sephora...

Trying the perfume beforehand (sampling) it totally the way to go... because like Ruthem said.. it smells differently on everyone.
I personally also am a huge fan of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue.. and many friends of mine wear that scent, and love it! I think that one may be safe hehe..
Also if you guys are interested, I figured I would pass this along..
