I'm looking for a super stylish handbag that is big enough to fit some of my books in for school. Have any ideas?

I have a really great Roxy bag that is great for school because it is casual, yet really stylish. Messenger bag style is great for carrying books but not hurting your back.

Check out T.J. Maxx, marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, etc. for great deals. The last time I was at T.J. Maxx (a few days ago) they had TONS of cute large bags that would be perfect for school books. My sis-in-law bought a great one from there last year...I can't remember which brand it was, but she's gotten tons of compliments on it!

I saw some cute bags at Target as well, that are inexpensive but classy looking.

Good point Stef, I have seen nice ones at Target too. I wonder how good they are as far as quality.

I have bought a few bags at Target and they work really well. The good thing about discount stores is you can buy multiple bags so you can change your bag with your changing outfit and the bags last longer when you don't use them everyday.

Ooops-OK I am such a perfectionist-I spelled a word wrong-it's "you're" not "your" :)

re: Shoeluv101
i guess that will depend on price, what style/shape u r looking for. I'm not a big coach fan although sometimes they have cute items, but they do have large totes that most books, notebooks and even laptops can fit in. If you don't want to spend much I would highly recommend discount stores like T.J. Maxx or outlets or Target.
I know it took me a while to find the bag for school, so good luck!!!!

So many people I see carry coach bags in all sizes. But are they durable?

re: stef42678
Are they durable? My mom never bought any thing else.
I have inherited many of them & they look still look fabulous years later.
The quality & workmanship are impeccable! The salespeople are responsive & helpful.
Coach also does repairs.
The handbags & wallets are well worth the price.

re: Shoeluv101
If you get a big bag for your books and things make sure you get one with a long strap. A lot of bags are big now days, but they have cute little bowling bag handles, and if you're going to carry that around campus, that's one more motivator to not go to class! I'm totally for style, and you can find some really cute ones, but make sure that it has a longer strap. I'd also opt for lots of pockets so you don't have to dig for your ID and phone and stuff!

H&M has some great bags that are affordable and trendy, but still have a classic vibe to them. Vintage shops are great too.

re: Shoeluv101
one thing that annoys me about my large hangags is that.... well.... its so BIG. I mean I have separate lilttle bags, inside that bag to help keep stuff organized. urgh!! purses to me need more zippers and pockets on the inside for stuff.

I usehttp://www.cheapesttextbooks.com to buy <a href="http://www.cheapesttextbooks.com/buy-college-books.htmlquot;>cheap college textbooks</a> for my kids. I recommend you give them a try, I save a lot more than most parents on books.
