My new favorite show is Rachael Zoe because she is an amazing stylist, and dresses celebrities so perfectly. It shows just how hard it is to style. Has anyone else tuned in? I love Rachael Zoe's work.

I haven't seen it...I saw her on Project Runway, though. She came out of nowhere for me. I first heard her name from piperlime.com, because she's been giving her favorite picks for the upcoming season. then I saw she had a new show and I'm just like, "Who is this?"

re: stef42678
LOL, I'm with you Alya. I had seen her randomly appear on fashion related stuff, and then on Project Runway, and now all of a sudden she has her own show?? I wasn't too impressed with her on PR...it would be interesting to see what she's all about though.

re: stef42678
you know rachel zoe..... its like if its skinny and expensive with her it means fashion. she may know the brands but i think she lacks style. anyone can fake it with money and PR.

re: devotdsatellite
Devotd, thank you! I couldn't have said it better myself. I watched the first episode of her show last night, and I didn't see her do much styling at all. The most I saw her do was going shopping for herself! Her assistant seems to do most of the styling and gathering of pieces, although she is a heinious biiiitch. She seems to also need a comb and some deep conditionjer. That Brad guy, her assistant's assistant (lol) is adorable and seems to be the only one of the 3 with actual style....and I'm done being mean, lol.

I still love the show with all the drama.

re: stef42678
Oh I didn't say I didn't like the show, lol. I totally love the drama and seeing all of the beautiful clothes. Plus, I think Brad is my new fave reality tv star haha. One thing I couldn't help thinking about while I was wacthing it, was how easy it would be for SNL to do a parody of Rachel...perhaps Amy Poehler or one of the other ladies on SNL should get on that haha.

re: stef42678
Rachel Zoe is hilariously passionate about fashion. There was a conversation during the show between her and her husband, Rodger. Did you see the one when her dresses got lost in the mail? She told him that her "Hero dresses" haven't arrived yet, with Rodger of course, saying "What's a Hero dress?" She's like "You know, THE dress." After he says "I don't see how Hero plays into that," She says, "Rodger, you know how I don't like when you trivialize what I do."
Uhh....can you tell I've seen that one as a rerun a few times? ;) Anyway, I think her vintage style is hot, but quite the waif.

re: stef42678
Me too! I am a personal shopper and wardrobe consultant, so I do get to thelp stylize my clients outfits; HOWEVER, I do NOT have the opportunity (or at least never attempted) to contact a designer and get clothes directly from them. Yeah, now that's my dream.

i might as well be a personal shopper and wardrobe consultant with all the closet hording and gifts buying i do (not for special occasions, but just because something reminded me of someone and i had to get it). sigh!

re: stef42678
You totally should go for it dazzlin! Start with your closest friends first. They would probably love your assistance (if they need it) ;) I am still starting off; however, I am passionate about helping women find fabulous fashion at their specific budget level without "telling" them what to wear. That's now what I'm about -- especially if everyone has different personalities...how can one trend be right for everyone? Impossible! BUT, it turns out when I find something for a client/friend that I know they would love, I pick it up and just tell them to put it on. When they walk out with a smile, it's like yup, I KNEW you would love it. ;)

re: stef42678
Wow - law school. Impressive! ;) Thanks - I enjoy meeting all budget levels. Not everyone can afford couture!

re: GoodGirlGoneShopping
quite frankly couture isnt always worth it either, you can do just as well shopping on a budget

re: stef42678
I so agree. My favorite purchases are when they are on sale! No matter what brand it is.

Ditto! I can't remember the last time I bought anything full price!

re: stef42678
My Betsey Johnson black wedge gladiator sandals, I bought full price because they were SO worth it. Then a few days later, I am walking in the same dept. store in a different city and they are 40% off. My heart nearly stopped. I felt robbed. I know that I could have demanded that I get the difference back (I used to work at Nordi's for 3 years), but because I was wearing them at the time, I felt it was sort of cheesy to not have them in a box to make it an official transaction. I don't know -- I just live for sales. Seriously.
