Hey everyone! A friend of mine just told me about e.l.f. Apparently its a makeup line that charges only $1 per product! I, of course, am skeptical of the quality as I am VERY picky about my makeup. I was wondering if anyone else on here has tried it? If so, what do you think?
The website iswww.eyeslipsface.com for those of you who are curious!

Yes this is true!!! my co-woker told me about this about a year ago i think and I am so happy with there products. For only a $1.00, it gives me a chance to add crazy wild colors to my collection at a great price!!
the makeup that I have tried and have bought for others are there: brightening eye color and there duo eye shadow. I have allot of the brushes too!! the eye makeup remover workers great with no mess! E.L.F's nail polish is good too!! I used to use expensive lip glosses. Now I am stocked up on there hypershine lipgloss. I luv, luv, luv it!! Not to mention they make great gifts. wink* wink** :D

Thanks for the info eboney! I was thinking I would try a gloss or two first and see if I like it, and then go from there. I have sensitive skin, so I worry about using stuff on my face that I'm not familiar with.

I have tried these cosmetics and they work pretty well and have some great colors. I like that they are so inexpensive because I can experiment with different styles. Hope you like them too.

OMG - I discovered e.l.f. earlier this year. They have a great site with lots of fun blogs and articles to check out beyond their own brand. Check in often as they have frequent blog posts that you can comment on and the first 100 comments receive a $5 gift code. I do it all the time to at least cover the shipping costs. I have several of their products and tools. Obviously it's not Dior, but they are good quality overall and it's great to have extra goodies for gifts and to keep extras in your other purse, beach bag, etc.

re: Bimbi284
hows their nailpolish quality? does it chip easy? require a lot of coats?

re: dazzlin
I was wondering the same thing! I am kind of picky about my makeup in general, but I get really annoyed if my nailpolish chips soon after I have my nails painted!

re: Bimbi284
I totally agree. I hate when I make my nails look great and they chip right away.

The nail polish is pretty good.I like it. I have taken my whole collection of polish and have switched them to E.L.F's. I have a couple of those OPI and sally hansen nail sticks, those work great too!! But I also dont mind painting my nails every other week. I find it realaxing oddly enough.
Has anyone else tryed the nail sticks? what do you think?

i'm always crazed with law school stuff, but oddly enough my nails are always freshly manicured and my apartment reeks of nail polish remover and nail polish, it's my destresser! so i do like to change often, so i don't like to buy too expensive brands, but i hate to finish and then have it chip immediately when i'm typing or washing dishes. my favorite is really milani, they have the funkiest colors, and they're one of the cheapest drug store nail polish brands. their colors really got me at first, but their quality isn't half bad either.

Hmmm...how would you say their nailpolish compares to OPI?

re: Bimbi284
so is OPI kind of the cheap nailpolish/high quality standard? i've never tried it, but their colors are really attractive

re: Bimbi284
OPI has wonderful colors. But it is expensive to me. Don't get me wrong I have a couple OPI nail polishes in my collection, but I seem to only purchase OPI if it is a really unique color.

It depends on the color and where you get it, but I think they can run from like $8 up to $18...

re: Bimbi284
Sooo I just got my purchases in the mail today! I bought the mineral foundation and the mineral concealer. Based on some of the reviews, people had said the foundation was too dark. Looking at it, I can agree. The concealer, however, looks too light. Sooooo...I'm thinking if I mix the two together, I'll get the perfect color! We'll see how it goes!

re: Bimbi284
Soooo, I've tried them and am pretty happy with the results. I tried mixing them together first, but it was still a bit too dark. Sooo today I used the concealer all over first, which was just a tad too light, and the used a light dusting of the foundation over it, which seemed to work! I still prefer my Lancome powder, but this one is better than other mineral powders I have tried.
