I don't know about any of you, but once its starts to get colder (and more dry), my hair tends to get really staticky (sp?). I've tried several of the tricks I've heard (rubbing a dryer sheet on it, for instance), and nothing seems to be a permanent solution.
My hair is naturally curly/frizzy and color-treated, but I tend to wear it straight more often in winter. I do still have this problem when I wear it curly too, especially since my hair doesn't curl up as well in winter.
Bottom line: Its annoying.
Any thoughts???

Hey Bimbi - have you tried John Frieda Frizz-Ease products? I know they aren't specifically for static, but they do weigh down your hair a little bit to control flyaways, so I think they help with static too.

Hey Christina, yeah I have tried those products, I'm not a big fan of them though. I prefer their curling products to their straightening stuff. (I'm very loyal to my Fekkai glossing cream and Neutrogena serum too). I haven't noticed any difference in the static when using them though.
Thanks!

have you ever heared of miss jessies hair products bimbi. I use them and swear by her products. They are light creames that you usally put in your hair when it is wet. I dont use any other products but hers now on my hair. I would spend so much then I should on hair products it is scary. So when I found this can you imagine all the extra space on my bathroom counter top!?! ha ha ha
I would suggest you check it out I think you might find what you are looking for. missjessies.com

re: eboneyowens
Thanks eboney! I have heard of her products, but have never tried them. I may just have to take you up on that suggestion though. I do have some good cream I use for when I wear my hair curly, but it isn't cheap...

re: Bimbi284
Hopefully her hair products are cheaper then what you are working with.

Well, I've been using Fekkai and Aveda stuff, Aveda being the cheaper of the 2, so if its cheaper than that, I should be good to go! Haha

I might have to try this in the summer! In the winter my hair just isn't as frizzy at all. Its the static when I wear it straight that really ginds my gears!

re: Bimbi284
Hmmmm, usually static is cause by dry air. Boy is that a lesson I have learned since moving into our new apt.! Haha, my hair sticks to everything! I think one thing that will help is a humidifier, when I get ours going it seems a lot better. And putting moisture back into your hair. You could try doing an overnight deep conditioning treatment. I love to use the special conditioners, but also I use regular old conditioner and it works just as well. Also, have you ever tried out Redken products? I loooovve! them! ^-^

re: Ruthem
Oooh I DO have a humidifier, just haven't pulled it out yet this year. I will for sure try that. As far as Redken products, I only have their curling spray for when I wear my hair curly...I really love it.

re: Bimbi284
I haven't really found any great products that don't wear your hair down. I would recommend a deep conditioner, but I am still looking for a light shampoo that makes your hair look great in the colder weather.

re: Bimbi284
Hey Stef, maybe you could check out Aveda. Have you tried them before? Or Biolage? I know they are both great brands. I really want to get more into Aveda, since they are natural and humanely produced, etc. And they smell yummy and fresh! Like I tried out this one salon shampoo, I think it is W or something like that. It works pretty well, but the smell is just like a salon smell, very chemically... weird!

re: Ruthem
I just found an Aveda store near me so I will have to check it out. Thanks!
