re: gina
Most definitely!! I just turned 31 and realized it was time to start thinking about anti-aging creams. I use something every night and have tried everything from Creme De La Mer, Arden Prevage, Olay Regenerist, and Lancome Regenerie Microlift.

I haven't used any anti-aging products yet. I'm 31 and am starting to see some small lines around my eyes. I would love to find something organic and natural that works well.

re: gina
At 29 I'm not too concerned with it...according to ads I see I guess I should?? I don't intentionally tan, am trying to quit smoking and that's all the effort I'll put into "anti-aging". I'm more inclined to age gracefully than invest in expensive treatments or creams just to keep a youthful appearance. Aging gracefully is not a bad thing.

re: gina
I turned 30 this year, so am totally worried about aging skin. I always use a moisturizer with SPF, I really love Neutrogena. Also Olay Regenerist is great for fighting aging because it gives your skin a healthy glow and firms and evens your skin tone.

re: gina
I don't use anti aging products regularly, but i do have a tendancy to wrinkle my forehead and have been using strivectin only on that area for a few years now. i have also been researching eye creams, anyone have any recommendations?

re: gina
I use Anti Aging products. I have used Avon's ANEW products, which I have found to be a bit greasy for my skin, I break out quick when I use them. Their other anti-aging products are better. I have been shopping Sephora a lot lately and have tyried many of their samples wich I really like. I am 4 months pregnant right now and can't use anything on my skin till the baby is born (wish I could) so right now its mainly aloe vera lotions, sunscreen and light shea butter, ect. Sunscreen truly is the best anti-ager, I try to make sure most of the stuff I use has it in it or I dont buy it.

I'm 31 and I LOVE LOVE MY EPICUREN! It's natural anti- aging and organic! Ask your local spa or your local beauty salon for the product! I use the acne cleanser that's enzyme activated and use the facial emulsion for moisture and to protect from sun damage! Now for my eyes.... I love Estee Lauder resilience lift extreme! I cannot ever leave the house with out it! It depuffs, firms and makes my eyes look younger!

I am a big believer in inside out beauty, so making sure I eat foods with lots of antioxidants. Tons of blueberries. I also use clinique's redness relief products for my rosecea. I will occasionally use under eye cream, but only when I am sleep deprived and think I need the extra boost.

re: gina
Yes, I believe it's never too early to start using anti-aging products! I love Avon's Anew line and Olay Regenerist products-- both offer effective and affordable products. Ditto Aveeno Positively Ageless-- I love their Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF-15. For a splurge, I love Chanel's Age Delay Eye Gel, which really helps with puffy eyes.

During the day I use...
Clarins Advanced Extra-Firming Eye Contour Serum
Clarins Double Sérum Génération 6
Clarins UV PLUS Protective Day Screen Plus (SPF 40)
At night I use...
Retin-A cream

I am only 26 but def use anti aging products. I started when I was 17! At first I just used over the counter eye creams. Now, I alternate on what I use. I work in TV so if I'm on hiatus I stick with more affordable anti-aging products. I love Neutrogena Anti-Aging Day Lotion. It has SPF in it and works so well. They also have eye wrinkle cream that is awesome. When I have a bit more to spend I love the Bliss Spa Line creams. You can pick them up at any W Hotel if you dont want to pay for shipping :)

re: gina
I'm 26 and I've pretty much been obsessed with staving off aging since about 20! The most important product for this is definetely eye cream, you absolutely must use it ladies! Puffiness and circles age you like nothing else. For day, I use Chanel's Beaute Initiale Eye, along with their Beaute Initiale Energizing Multi-Protection Fluid, both of which have spf and are part of a preventive line for 20s skin. I also use Skinceuticals Serum 15, which an aesthetician recomended from personal experience. She was in her thirties, and looked about 23, so I bought it immediately! For night, I like a creamier eye option, so I use Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

re: gina
I do not currently use any anti aging products. I am however open to the possibilities of anti-aging products. I currently use moisturizers and facial cleansers designed for sensitive skin. Free of fragrance and dyes and all that other stuff that you don't need to put on your skin.
I drink lots of water and eat as much fruit and vegetables I can get my hands on. :-)
If there is a miracle anti-aging product out there that actually does what it says, then I would be up for the challenge to try it! And of course it would definitely have to be skin friendly!

re: gina
At 51, I will use anything I think might help! I have been deliigent about my skin care since I'm 17 (thanks to Mom) Right now I'm using SkinCeuticals. The BEST Anti aging product anyone can use, and EVERYONE should be using is a sunscreen with an SPF 30 or above. I have a sister a year younger than me who never used sunscreen untill about 10 years ago and most people think she is the older sis.

I use Boscia purifying cleansing gel am and pm. I like how my skin feels tight afterwards. I also use a overnight regenerating cream from Garnier, it seems to be doing the trick. I just got a complment last week on how great my skin tone is.

re: gina
I am 34 and right now I use Aveeno Pistively Radiant moisturizer since it has SPF 15. And I also use Afirm, originally given to me from my derm for break-outs but is really for preventing and minimizing the appearance of lines. I use it for both reasons :)

re: gina
I am 27 and have used anti-aging products in the past. Right now I'm leaning more toward organic or plant based products. I agree with whoever said anti-aging tends to be expensive. I will probably start using anti-aging products again when I get closer to 30. I think at this age good skincare, healthy eating, and preventing sun damage is more beneficial.

re: gina
I haven't been using anti-aging products, but now that I've turned 30, I'm thinking I should probably start soon. I'll probably start with a moisturizer with anti-aging properties. I'm not a girl who likes to use a ton of different products every day, so a 2 in one moisturizer would be a good way for me to start incorporating anti-aging products.

i have been using shiseido age targeting moisturizer. such as the daytime protective emulsion and the benefiance nutriperfect night cream. i also use there anti wrinkle cream. i am 34 and have noticed line on my forehead and sides of my smile. what can one say. gotta stop sunning, gotta wear more moisturizer and gotta stop stressing. and with exercise and eating right hopefully my skin will stay healthy.

I have been using rare minerals skin revival treatment every night, it is mineral based and it exfoliates your skin and promotes faster skin cell renewal. For during the day I use mostly organic eye treatment and Aveeno with spf30, I also watch what I eat and excersice. I try to get facials every 6 months or so.

In the past, I have just concentrated on drinking lots of water, moisturizing and using sunscreen. Lately however I have started looking into anti-aging products, but it's hard to choose from all of the products available. I may start with Aveeno though, as many people have been posting about liking their products. Thanks for the info everyone!

re: gina
Oh my yes!! I started using moisturizers back in my early 20's! I'm totally addicted to Mary Kay products! I can't live without my 3-1 Cleanser and moisturizer! There are a couple extra steps that I do as well to help like my hydrator (big drink of water for your skin!!), even essence complextion and day solution w/sunscreen. I have very dry skin and can use all the help I can get. :) Besides, isn't it better to start early rather than late? :)

re: gina
I've always been consistent when it comes to a washing, moisturizing routine, and have just recently began using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream. I love how light and supple it is, without being greasy or overbearing. It doesn't contain sunscreen, so that is one downside, but for the price it seems to work just as well if not better than other more expensive creams.

re: gina
I take pretty good care of my skin. While I haven't started using antiaging products religiously, I have tried several samples that I receive, mostly from Lancome. I have a very sensitive eye area, and tend to have a weird reaction to certain products, but I have never had a problem with any of theirs.

re: gina
I have tried some and am definitely thinking about adding them to my skin care routine. Right now I am mainly working on not getting too much sun exposure and keeping my skin healthy from the inside out. I believe I have an anti-aging Olay cream I have been meaning to use. And I exfoliate regularly and try to keep my skin moisturized.

re: gina
Anti Aging is often misunderstood. It is not so much about age, more about preserving youth.
This is why you can't start early enough with some things.
When I was younger there was not this much knowledge out there about aging and UV, Free Radicals..things we get to hear frequently these days.
But still, at 18 I started religiously using eye cream, knowing that the skin under the eyes is much thinner and needs more moisture. I was also one of the first to learn about the damage UV can do to the skin, at 20 I started with a low SPF8. Back then there were not really too many products out there (especially in Germany)
Just before my mid-twenties I started changing my routine to really rich and moisturizing. Drying out skin with harsh or acne products is one of the major mistakes young women make. I made the same mistake then. It took my skin a long time to adjust but it got better every day, I introduced anti-oxidants, higher SPF to my cosmetic regimen and am now finally doing a full (early) anti-aging routine which includes (all organic) Anti-Oxidant Serum (Devita), High SPF (30) Moisturizer (Devita) which blocks but UVB and UVA rays well, Retinol-A Cream (1% BioEntopic) at night, an eye cream with Vit.K (Devita), Hyaluronic Acid occasionally, a weekly glycolic peel (juice beauty) to help cell turnover.
Sure, I am not old yet but I still think I look fresher than my actual age, no lines and I get asked for ID frequently ;)
I would recommend that kind of routine to anyone.

Good to know. I'm more concerned with blemish issues. Nothing worked for me and all dried my skin out and made the issue worse. The acne has declined with age thankfully. I'm not big on anti-aging products myself but I try what I can to at least take care of my skin.
Posted 03/25/2009 at 11:24 PM
re: gina
I personally do use antiaging products for prevention! I learned that it is best to start early and not wait until you are necessarily older. I think that antioxidants in several anti-aging products are beneficial for the face.

re: gina
At night, I use prescription Retin-A to counteract precancerous skin changes caused by years of tanning (use your sunscreen, girls!). This product can be very drying, so during the day, I use moisturizers with good SPF protection, such as Kiehl's Ultra Protection Water-Based Sunscreen SPF 25. I also love Kiehl's Abyssine Eye Cream.
Again, I urge everyone to choose products with sunscreen and wear them every day.

I have been using them for awhile. I'm 30 now and I got on a big kick when I was about 28 dreading turning 30 (totally not a big deal). I sampled a bunch of stuff. Right now I'm using an eye cream from Mary Kay and Hope in a Jar from Philosophy. I'm waiting for the Mary Kay to run out to start using some Dr. Brant stuff that I won (sorry from another magazine). The Hope in a Jar I would swear by, the stuff is great. I also try to mask a few time a week. I think I'm going to have to try some Aveeno though!

re: jenndouglass
I just started using Philosophy's Hope in a Jar recently too...forgot to mention that. Seriously, it has been a miracle product for my skin! My skin is on the oily side, so I am picky about my moisturizers. I had heard good things about it, and after trying a sample, I was sold! I bought it from Sephora and got a sample of their microdelivery peel and its awesome! Had to buy it too! Those products used together have minimized my pores and have improved the appearance of my acne scars, something I never thought was possible!!!

I don't use any but then I'm 27 and do try to take good care of my skin.
I think the most important factors to be youthful is to eat right, drinks lots of water, and to stress less.
I think down the line if I were to use something considered anti-aging, I would most likely look at the more organic or natural products. I don't worry too much though. Somehow I always imagined that I would age gracefully. I definitely don't want to look like I'm still in my 20's when I'm 50.

re: gina
I need extra moisturizing around the eyes, so the Anew helps moisturize the "crows feet" so they don't appear as deep. The Garnier has reduced some of my sun damage. I've only been using it about a month, no major differences yet, but am crossing my fingers.

I use anti-aging products for my face at night. My favorite all time anti-aging serum is called Miracell and just like the name it truly is a miracle. It has so many uses and not only for turning back time, it can heal scars and calm the skin. I love it and I only have small laugh lines at age 30. The key is to keep your face moisturized and use sunblock at all times. NO SUNBATHING! Tans are ugly anyway.

You can buy a 2oz bottle for around $25-$27, or a .5 oz bottle for $10
The 2oz bottle lasts me for about 6 months, I mostly use it for my face, neck and chest. You can try purchasing it at Sears ear doctor office (yes an ear doctor) Or you can purchase at miracell dot com. You can also try Itsanatural dot com.

One of my friends is a Mary Kay consultant, and she's been real big about skin care and taking care of ourselves...so, inevitatibly, I've been using some products here and there, trying to keep my skin nice...not that we age badly (my mom was carded up until she was 35 and I still get carded for rated R movies), but I wouldn't mind keep my youthful appearance for awhile...
