I really like this site and have had alot of fun-but-I'm getting tired of the way the contests have gotten out of hand. I have flagged many copywrited entries and they stay on top of charts. It has become obvious some people have become obssesed with winning and Vote Down so many special Ladies. I'm not sure of the answers, but I didn't bother to enter last contest because of this-what's the purpose. I read one complaint and I don't know if she is pulling fast a fast one trying to win-even now using someone elses eyes-so I don't know if you are tracking IP's. But to all the beautiful Ladies out there, don't let those who are at hard work putting others down, to make them feel better, Revel in your own Glory!

Thanks so much for the great news, I love this site! I would post without any incentive because I love Lucky, but the bonus prizes are sure great! Thanks Lucky!

re: moonchylde
I think that it may be possible that some are using some fake bu then you look at some of their other ones and they are still at the top of the list. I look at it this way no matter who is 1st in place they always choose a different winner you know? Keep your hopes up! You'll win something Stef!

re: moonchylde
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to thank all of you for doing a great job of "policing" our site. Some members are missing the point and uploading copy-righted images - however, we review the site daily and are working to remove these images.
As far as contests are concerned, we are able to track votes. If we see a member has created fake accounts to vote for themselves multiple times we disqualify them from the contest.

re: Lucky Style Spotter
Hi LSS, I do flag iamges that are copy righted many times, esp with the last contest. there was 1 entry that was flagged many many times, and nothing was done. I do appreciate the fact that you are able to track the votes. There seems to be some controversy between me and another member all of a sudden which was not my meaning but others seem to feel the same as I do. The fact that this member has been at the top of the contest and has not won, might be the reason?? If so, I hope this clears the matter with her, if this is the case. This will be the last I write anything about this. THANKS

re: moonchylde
jannakl -
you have two entries in the smokey eye contest, + I believe it's one per person, per email address, etc.
maybe you could remedy this somehow or Lucky could?

re: moonchylde
Yeah, I don't bother entering contest anymore. There are some people who are voting down other photos just to win so I don't see a point. I really wanted to enter the "smokey eye" but didn't have the energy since I knew I'd get low votes now matter who fab my technique is! ;)

re: moonchylde
I just joined and really like this site. Lucky is my favortie mag and its cool to see pics of other readers style. I really like that there do not seem to be any negative or ugly comments. (least i haven't seen any)

re: moonchylde
I like the site and it's interesting to click through the pics of real people, but I agree that there has to be a serious issue of voting down on the contests. It seems like even the really great looks are still 3.5 at best. As far as the ugly comments thing, I think most people are really supportive, but that's MOST. I've noticed several people that feel their opinion is that of an authority and some of the comments are a bit harsh. I would never post that someone's look is "sleazy" though I've seen some users do so. For me personally, I'd rather comment when I have something nice to say, or leave it alone if I don't.

re: moonchylde
I have noticed a few harsh comments on a couple of pics. Honesty with tact works best if you feel compelled to comment. Encourage different fashion options without being negative and rude. If you can't manage that, perhaps don't say anything. Not sure how the contests work, however, it's fun to look through the pics and see the different styles we all wear. I've enjoyed looking at the different looks and outfits. And some have even given me ideas or inspiration. Behind the Seams has some fabulous looks she puts together. And it's so nice to read positive comments by heatheranne, moonchylde, stef, and others.

re: moonchylde
I have another comment to add-I went back and looked at some postings by a few participants and was so disheartened. It's only a couple people but the comments are downright rude. I can understand if you're Stacy and Clinton and you have a $5,000 credit card to offer someone and the understanding that you're going to throw away their whole wardrobe (people know what they're getting into) but this isn't "What Not to Wear" and we're not Stacy and Clinton. I for one hope I don't see any more comments like some I've read.

re: moonchylde
I'm also new to the site as in writing comments. Sometimes I think I get carried away as to sounding like I'm an authority because I'm so crazy about handbags. If anyone thinks I sound like I'm preaching the "gospel according to Caryn" you will not offend me by telling me that. If I see an unkind remark I try to find something positive in the photo to make the person feel better. One thing that is interesting is when I see an unkind remark it is usually by a spotter with no profile or picture. One thing we have to remember beauty comes in all sizes and ages and not everyone can be a10.
My husband would like you all to know he is glad I found all of you as now he doesn't have to listen to me talking about handbags!

re: JAYMAN
I think it's great for you to share information Caryn! You're "in the know" :) I like that you will offer up a positive comment when someone has posted something negative. I'm sure we could all find a favorite feature about ourselves-something we feel makes us beautiful. That's the really neat thing-we're all different but we're all special and beautiful. And not all of our "looks" or "outfits" we put together are going to be A+ days believe me. On the days I'm not working, I'm in a ballcap and sweats-but according to the Lucky Shopping Manual, as long as I have a status signature handbag, I"m good :)

re: happygirl
Thank-you. I agree with Lucky about the status handbag. Wish Lucky would pay for that fabulous handbag! (JUST KIDDING LUCKY)
To tell the truth we would all look better and feel better if we smiled more but then again we don't want the stores to close for lack of sales!
