My Denim Transformation Challenge: Top Rated
Description
To describe why I chose this outfit, I used to moonlight as a Hawaiian Dancer at the now extinct Waikiki Wally's in New York City. This is a photo of me at the restaurant's closing party on January 3, 2009. To commemorate this place, I decided to show up with my Chip and Pepper Jeans, and a Hawaiian cardigan which Jcrew produced several years ago which depicts icons of the Hawaiian Islands. I accesorized with a kukui nut necklace, which are originally Hawaiian. This look captures the essence of Hawaii without being hokey or overly stereotypical, and the cardigan, which is made of wool, kept me warm on a cold January evening.
