About Lucky Style Spotter

Stylespotter is an online community of women who share style. It’s designed as a place where people can come together and have fun with style by posting photos, rating looks, participating in contests, joining forums, and connecting with other style-minded people. Luckystylespotter.com is not part of Lucky Magazine editorial.

If you want to invite a friend to view or join Luckystylespotter.com, all you need to do is click on “share” in any of the gallery look pages and fill out the appropriate information. Or, simply email your friend the link to the site and they can register.

To browse and rate Looks in all non-contest Galleries, you do not need to be registered and signed in. You will need to be registered and signed in to upload photos, post comments, post in forums, participate in contests and create your profile page.

Click “join” at the top right of any page. Once you have submitted a valid email, you will be sent a link to complete registration. Just click on it and follow a few quick and easy steps.

Click “login” at the top right of any page and simply provide your user name and password.

There is a link within the “login” window to help those that have forgotten either their user name or password.

Galleries are where you can go to browse and rate all the looks/photos people have uploaded. If you have uploaded a look, this is where it will appear.

Forums are where you can read and participate in discussions with other members of the Luckystylespotter.com community.

Each month Lucky (often in conjunction with another partner) will have fun, interactive contests for members to participate in and get the chance to win prizes.

Expert advice is where you can get personal advice from a real style expert. A featured expert will highlight and answer selected questions from those submitted.

News is where we will feature all the latest happenings from Luckystylespotter.com, from contest winners, to the latest trends discovered by the community.

My page is where you can set up your user profile. Tell the community as much about yourself as you like. Search for other members with similar interests. See all the looks you’ve uploaded, as well as your favorites. Upload an avatar. See your recent posts and comments. Check out how many points you’ve earned and your current status on the site.

Searching is easy on Luckystylespotter.com. There is a search box on the right hand side of the pink navigation bar at the top of every page. Simply type any key word into the box, hit “search” and anything containing those key words will come up in order of: galleries, users, forum posts and comments. When browsing looks within galleries, you can click on a “tag” to sort looks on the site by that “tag.” Within galleries you can also use “Advanced Sort” to find specific types of looks.

To upload images onto Luckystylespotter.com, just click on the pink “upload photo” box at the top right of every page and follow the easy instructions. You must be a registered member and signed in to upload images to the site. You can also manage looks you have already uploaded from My Page.

Luckystylespotter.com will accept your look images in JPEG (.jpg) format. While the system can accept files up to 5MB in size, we recommend your crop, resize and save your large photo files to a smaller size before uploading them to the site.

You can give the images you upload “tags” which are like keywords. They can help you find other images that have something in common. Clicking a “tag” will show you other looks that share that “tag.” By categorizing your image during the look upload process, you are “tagging” your look. The more info you provide the more “tags” you will have associated with your look.
