Rating Formula
Lucky Style Spotter Looks are uploaded and rated by the community. A single Look’s rank in relation to all other Looks on the site, is calculated using the following simple equation:
Look Rating = Average Rating – (Time / Number of Ratings)
“Top Rated Looks” are those Looks on the site with the highest Look Rating at that specific moment in time.
Style Spotter Points
How you use the the site, uploading Looks, using the site’s features, etc., helps you earn Lucky Style Spotter Points (“points”).
Lucky Style Spotter may periodically reward users with high point totals. Rewards based on point totals are not guaranteed and are to be determined at the sole discretion of Lucky Style Spotter. Rewards may include sample products from Lucky Style Spotter’s partners, discount codes for retailers, the opportunity to be a local Style Spotter editor, and other special offers. Users will be notified via email if they have been selected to receive a reward.
Points are scored as follows:
Variable points:
Every time your Look is rated, you will receive the value of the rating as points. So if your Look is rated a 5, you score 5 points. If your Look is rated a 2, you score 2 points.
10 points:
• Joining the site
• Winning a Contest
1 point:
• Rating another User’s Look
• Viewing another User’s Profile
• Sharing a Look
• Printing a Look
• Adding a Look as a Favorite
• Posting a Comment
• Posting in a Discussion Forum
• Posting a Question in Expert Advice
• Uploading a Look
• Setting up “Items” for a Look
Losing points (1 point):
• Deleting a Look
• Having a Look removed by the administrator because it was “flagged as inappropriate”
• Having a Comment removed by the administrator because it was “flagged as inappropriate”
• Having a Discussion Forum Post removed by the administrator because it was “flagged as inappropriate”
Your points will be displayed on your Profile page. Only you can see your points total. Other Users will not be able to see your points total,
The best way to earn points is to use the site so use the site every day to rack up points.
Style Spotter Status
There are two (2) status levels of users on the Lucky Style Spotter site: Style Spotters and Power Users.
A Power Spotter is a user who has accumulated a total number of points greater than 85% of the points scored by the user with the most points on the site, at any given moment. Because the users’ Status is calculated in “real time” against “live” scores and a User’s Status can change as more users score points and use the features of the site. Power Spotters should keep an eye on their Status and perform activities to score more points if their Status falls back below the 85% threshold.
Your Status will be displayed on your Profile page and when you Post in Forums. Other Users will be able to see your Status; whether you are a Style Spotter or a Power Spotter.
